The ministry urged the public to remain cautious ahead of the festive season and extended public holidays to help curb TB transmission. It advised practising proper cough and sneeze etiquette and wearing face masks in crowded places.

Those experiencing symptoms such as prolonged cough, fever, loss of appetite or unexplained weight loss were encouraged to seek screening at the nearest healthcare facility.

The ministry stressed that these preventive steps are both a personal safeguard and a shared responsibility to protect families and the wider community from infectious diseases.
