PP Health Malaysia (PPHM) has introduced a new online Global Andes-Hantavirus Tracking Dashboard (GAT-D), which reported hantavirus cases linked to the cruise ship MV Hondius, providing readers with a trusted and reliable reference point for following case developments as they are reported.

The dashboard compiles publicly available case information from official sources such as health authorities, port officials, and established media outlets. Updates are made regularly, with data presented clearly alongside links to sources, supporting evidence‑based health news and media reporting.
The dashboard is produced and analysed by CHIME, the research arm of PP Health Malaysia (PPHM), which is responsible for data compilation and review to ensure information is presented accurately and responsibly.
Health authorities have reported hantavirus infections associated with MV Hondius, a cruise ship. Hantavirus infections are typically linked to exposure to infected rodent urine or droppings, and investigations into individual cases are overseen by the relevant national authorities.
The dashboard is intended as an informational resource and does not provide risk assessments or forecasts. All figures reflect publicly reported information and may change as investigations continue or authorities revise their findings. Variations in reported case numbers are expected, as different health agencies may publish updates at different times or apply slightly different reporting criteria.
