Singularity Connect Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian technology group focused on the development, application and commercialisation of artificial intelligence (AI), has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IJN Research Sdn Bhd, the research arm within the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) ecosystem.
The collaboration will explore the development and commercialisation of AI applications for healthcare, with an initial focus on supporting advancements in integrated cardiovascular and thoracic care.
The MoU was exchanged at the National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo 2026 (NICE 2026), held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Through the partnership, Singularity Connect will contribute its Agentic AI capabilities, while IJN Research will provide clinical expertise, research capabilities and access to a healthcare innovation ecosystem. Together, the organisations will explore an outcome-focused AI platform governed responsibly and designed to support healthcare professionals, clinical research and patient outcomes.
The parties will also consider bringing together multidisciplinary teams comprising medical professionals, developers, data scientists, statisticians, bioinformaticians and other relevant specialists to support healthcare-focused AI development.
Where appropriate, Singularity Connect and IJN Research may also work with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) and other innovation partners to support the journey from research and technology development to practical implementation and commercialisation.
The collaboration comes as Malaysia continues to increase the adoption and commercialisation of emerging technologies across priority industries. NICE 2026, organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and driven by MRANTI, convenes stakeholders from across Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem under the theme, “Mission to Market. Malaysia to the World.”

The MoU establishes a framework for the two organisations to explore potential areas of cooperation. Specific programmes, projects and commercial initiatives will be developed and agreed by both parties in due course.
