Selgate Corporation has opened its first flagship private hospital in the Central Region, Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang (SSH Rawang), at Persiaran Anggun Ria, Sungai Bakau.
The 224‑bed facility — officially launched on 21 October 2025 — aims to bring specialist, community‑focused healthcare closer to residents of Rawang and neighbouring townships.
SSH Rawang spans about 261,000 square feet and includes over 500 parking bays. The hospital offers a broad range of specialist and diagnostic services, such as orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and paediatric cardiology, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric and general surgery, hand and microsurgery, internal medicine, radiology and anaesthesiology.
In a press release shared with PPHM, Selgate says the hospital is designed to bridge the gap between tertiary hospitals and local clinics by delivering everyday care that feels personal. The facility is front‑ended by Selgate’s Selangkah app, which integrates registration, appointments, admissions and billing to provide a digital‑first patient experience.
The opening completes a decade of Selgate’s expansion in Malaysia’s healthcare sector. Selgate Healthcare grew from its Selcare network of GP and dental clinics, pharmacies, diagnostics labs and home nursing services, and has run major state health programmes including SELVAX and Selangor Saring, serving more than 500,000 people. Selgate also emphasises digital health services through the Selangkah app.
To mark the opening, SSH Rawang hosted an Opening Day with free basic health screenings and a cupcake giveaway. The hospital will hold an Opening Carnival from 24 to 26 October 2025 featuring free screenings, discount vouchers for early visitors, children’s activities, specialist health talks and interactive health education booths.
SSH Rawang has also signed on as a sponsor of the Rawang Marathon on 16 November 2025.
Selgate positions SSH Rawang as the model for two sister hospitals in Sepang and Setia Alam planned for 2026. The Group says it intends to operate six hospitals within the next decade, reinforcing its commitment to accessible, affordable healthcare in Selangor.
Selgate Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) and manages an integrated healthcare network across Malaysia.
