Ex-Malaysian Rugby Coach Dies While Jogging

The unfortunate demise of a Malaysian man while he was out jogging at Dahliasari Recreational Park in Bandar Sungai Buaya, Hulu Selangor has shed light on the unpredictability of life despite efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The incident, reported by Harian Metro, occurred on a Saturday morning as the victim was engaging in physical activity with the community. Despite his regular exercise routine and vigilance towards his health, the sudden loss of consciousness and subsequent collapse on the park’s trail led to his untimely passing.

The 75-year-old victim, a former rugby coach with an impressive 30-year tenure at the National Sports Council (NSC), had a history of underlying health conditions including heart problems spanning two years and high blood pressure for two decades. These pre-existing conditions, coupled with his age, may have contributed to the tragic event that unfolded during what seemed like a routine morning activity.

District police chief Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim confirmed the absence of any foul play in the incident, categorising it as a case of sudden death. Medical professionals who arrived at the scene swiftly declared the victim deceased before his body was transferred to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital for further examination through a post-mortem procedure.
