Over 1,000 People fell Sick After Eating Kimchi Contaminated with Norovirus

A food poisoning outbreak has gripped Namwon City, South Korea, with approximately 1,000 individuals affected by contaminated kimchi. This fermented cabbage dish, a staple in Korean cuisine, has been identified as the source of norovirus that has caused widespread illness. The outbreak has predominantly impacted students and staff from 24 schools, who reported symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pains.
