Sunway Healthcare Group and Putrajaya Holdings Announce Joint Venture to Establish New Hospital in Putrajaya

Sunway Healthcare Group has announced a joint venture with Putrajaya Holdings to build a multi-disciplinary tertiary hospital in Precinct 7, Putrajaya, according to the post on Sunway Healthcare FB.

The development is part of efforts to meet rising healthcare needs in Malaysia’s administrative capital, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities.

The upcoming hospital will feature more than 300 beds and is purpose-built to deliver advanced medical services. Included in the plans is a dedicated burns unit, along with a wide range of specialist care services.

The facility is expected to serve not only the residents of Putrajaya but also the broader Southern Klang Valley region, offering care to both local and international patients.

According to Datuk Lau Beng Long, President of Sunway Healthcare Group, “We are excited to partner with Putrajaya Holdings to build a medical centre in our nation’s administrative capital, enabling the Putrajaya community and beyond to access comprehensive and quality private healthcare.”

Sunway Healthcare Group stated that this partnership reflects a shared commitment with Putrajaya Holdings to deliver comprehensive, quality private healthcare closer to where people live and work.

The new hospital forms part of Sunway Healthcare Group’s ongoing expansion, supported by its integrated healthcare infrastructure, clinical expertise, and operational excellence.

Construction of the new facility is set to further strengthen private healthcare options in Putrajaya and the surrounding region.
